• Wanda L. Pierce MBA serves as President and Principal Consultant.  Wanda brings 25+ years of management experience to her consulting practice.  She began her career as an executive in marketing and finance in two Fortune 500 corporations before moving into the nonprofit sector.  She has extensive executive experience having served as executive director of three  nonprofits including: an inner city youth development nonprofit,  a start-up nonprofit, and a community foundation.  Wanda also is an entrepreneur having founded three companies.

• Wanda has extensive experience in nonprofit management including fundraising and fund development, strategic planning, program development and evaluation, marketing, event management, budget development, staff management and strategic partnerships.   
• Wanda has an accomplished record of establishing partnerships between nonprofits and corporations, local governments, and education institutions.
• Wanda graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Economics cum laude.  She earned an MBA in Marketing from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

Wanda is known for her extensive  knowledge of nonprofits and her motivational public speaking.

Pierce Consulting Works LLC was established in 2004 as Consulting Works.  It was first retained by an international nonprofit client to provide marketing and communications expertise.  Following that engagement in 2006 a DC-based social venture firm retained Consulting Works to  launch a new nonprofit organization with a mission to increase the representation  of minorities on nonprofit boards and in executive leadership positions in nonprofits. Wanda was then asked to serve as the first year's Executive Director. Wanda led the entity from the conceptual phase to a fully operational organization.   The startup organization was recognized in the Chronicle of Philanthropy.   After Wanda was recruited to lead her local community foundation, the practice was inactive for 9 years until being relaunched in 2017 as Pierce Consulting Works LLC.
